Today’s video deals with another emerging scan, The Refund and Recovery Scam! We will unravel the intricate workings of the Refund and Recovery Scam, showcasing how crafty criminals can swindle unsuspecting victims not just once, but twice!

Unfor¬≠tu¬≠nate¬≠ly, there are numer¬≠ous web¬≠sites online which pro¬≠fess to pro¬≠vide these ser¬≠vices. In short, they claim to be able to recov¬≠er funds vic¬≠tims have lost to scam¬≠mers. These scam recov¬≠ery web¬≠sites make bold state¬≠ments such as ‚Äú‚Ķif you have been duped by the likes of a scam¬≠mers, reach out to us and our experts will get your mon¬≠ey back.‚ÄĚ Or even bold¬≠er claims such as ‚Äúhas accom¬≠plished 92% win rate glob¬≠al¬≠ly.‚ÄĚ

The pro¬≠lif¬≠er¬≠a¬≠tion of refund and recov¬≠ery scam ser¬≠vices on the web, tru¬≠ly chal¬≠lenge all com¬≠mon sense! How can mon¬≠ey or pros¬≠e¬≠cu¬≠tion be insti¬≠tut¬≠ed against per¬≠son or per¬≠sons from parts unknown? Now it is com¬≠mon knowl¬≠edge that many scams, espe¬≠cial¬≠ly romance scams, come from places like Nige¬≠ria and Ghana in West Africa. Many of these scams are car¬≠ried out by gangs of scam¬≠mers. The mon¬≠ey is divid¬≠ed among the gang mem¬≠bers. The thought of a com¬≠pa¬≠ny being able to recov¬≠er lost ‚Äúscam‚ÄĚ mon¬≠ey from these indi¬≠vid¬≠u¬≠als defies log¬≠ic. Where would you start, and where would you end? Then, would this mon¬≠ey be just lay¬≠ing around in a sock draw¬≠er, in a retire¬≠ment account, or in a long-term CD. No, the mon¬≠ey is long gone, and the scam¬≠mer is on to the next vic¬≠tim!

In the refund and recov¬≠ery scam, the scam typ¬≠i¬≠cal¬≠ly starts with vic¬≠tims falling prey to an ini¬≠tial scam. It could be your every¬≠day gar¬≠den vari¬≠ety scam like romance scams. Then, like a phoenix from the ash¬≠es, anoth¬≠er scam¬≠mer (or some¬≠times the same one) swoops in, claim¬≠ing to be a ‚Äėrecov¬≠ery agent.‚Äô They promise to help you retrieve your lost funds, only to trick you into pay¬≠ing ‚Äėfees‚Äô or ‚Äėtax¬≠es,‚Äô exac¬≠er¬≠bat¬≠ing your loss. They adver¬≠tise all over the web with sites that look pret¬≠ty legit¬≠i¬≠mate and pro¬≠fes¬≠sion¬≠al.

If you come across one of the many sites on the Internet offering Refund and Recovery Services. Be very careful! First, take the time and analyze the whole site. It may look professional at first glance. As you analyze these sites, you will soon see the poor vocabulary, bold claims and made-up statistics throughout the whole site. These are only some of the many red-flags on these sites.

One of the refund and recovery sites I delved into, look very professional. I was actually quite curious. However, after of few minutes of looking through the site, I noticed numerous grammatical errors, bad vocabulary and a host of other issues. I looked up the business address and found it was a operating out of a virtual office. They also provided numerous business addresses around the world. With a host of virtual offices around the world, it’s easy for a business to look like a global business. However, if you take the time to Google the addresses listed for this business, or ANY questionable online business, you will find most operate out of virtual offices or mail drop location. Does this make them illegitimate? Absolutely not. But it definitely raises some red-flags.

Stay tuned till the end, as we share essential tips on how to protect yourself from these scams, detect red flags early, and the steps to take if you ever find yourself victimized. This is the scam after the scam!
